Mist Connections is built on the belief that everyone deserves opportunities to connect with nature, community, and place.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a finished destination. As this project grows, I will continue working to make both the website and in-person activities as welcoming and usable as possible.
If you encounter a barrier, I’d genuinely like to know.
Website Accessibility
This website has been designed with simplicity, readability, and accessibility in mind.
Where possible, I aim to:
- Use clear, logical heading structures.
- Write in plain, conversational language.
- Maintain consistent navigation throughout the website.
- Choose colours with good contrast.
- Use readable typography.
- Add alternative text to meaningful images.
- Ensure the website works well on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Keep pages lightweight and fast to load.
- Reduce unnecessary animation and visual distractions.
Because Mist Connections is built as a static website, many accessibility barriers associated with complex web applications are naturally avoided.
Activities and Events
Nature isn’t always fully accessible, but I believe everyone deserves opportunities to experience it.
When organising walks, workshops, or community activities, I will do my best to describe accessibility in advance and make reasonable adjustments whenever possible.
Depending on the activity, this may include:
- Choosing shorter or gentler routes.
- Selecting paths with more accessible surfaces.
- Offering alternative meeting locations.
- Adapting activities when practical.
- Clearly communicating any unavoidable physical challenges beforehand.
If you have specific accessibility needs, please feel welcome to contact me before registering for an activity. Together, we can often find solutions that make participation more comfortable.
Why is Mist Connections mostly in English?
Mist Connections is currently written in English because that’s the language in which I can write most naturally and accurately about nature.
I hope to offer more content in French over time, with the help of native speakers, so that the translations reflect the same care and curiosity as the original articles.
In the meantime, I’m always happy to answer questions or recommend resources in French whenever I can.

Mist Connections is a living project.
As I learn more about digital accessibility and inclusive event planning, I hope this website and its activities will continue becoming more welcoming for everyone.
